Looking for Classic Science Fiction & Fantasy?
Coachwhip Publications has published (with more in the works) several classic speculative fiction novels and anthologies of supernatural, fantasty, and science fiction short stories. While some of these stories are commonly reprinted, effort is made to track down some of the scarcer stories, so watch for rarely seen gems! At present, these collections are focused in two areas:Cryptofiction:
Fiction with a cryptozoology theme, whether unknown species or creatures from the past. The Sign of the Spider, for example, has a giant arachnid-like creature, while Beyond the Great South Wall involves a living dinosaur. Several more anthologies and novels are currently in production.
Themed Speculative Fiction:
There are numerous other themes to be explored in early (or proto-) science fiction and fantasy. So far, anthologies have covered Christian perspectives in supernatural fiction, Egyptian themes (from mummies to pyramids and ghostly pharaohs), time travel stories, sea monsters, strange invertebrates, and (often deadly) strange plants.
Author Collections:
I will also be focusing on collections and anthologies by single classic authors, exporing the range and imagination of a single writer. Collections include G. K. Chesterton, George MacDonald, Robert W. Chambers, and Lewis Carroll.
